About Us

Maggie Spark

I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, with over fifteen years’ experience of supporting people with a wide range of Anxiety problems and Depression. I am also trained in providing Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

I worked in mental health services in the NHS from 2009-2021, completing my Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies at the University of Sheffield in 2013, and my Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT at the University of Lancaster in 2014.

Alongside my private practice, I currently work as the Deputy Programme Director for the Post-Graduate Diploma in High Intensity Psychological Therapies at the University of Sheffield, where I provide training and supervision for trainee CBT therapists.

I offer one-to-one online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR for a wide range of difficulties, including depression, low self-esteem, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, body dysmorphia, OCD, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I also have a particular interest in Compassion Focussed Therapy, and have undertaken additional training in this approach.

It is important to me to provide a safe space where you can reflect on the difficulties you are experiencing and have the opportunity to understand these difficulties from a new perspective. If you think that this could be helpful for you, please get in touch.

Heather Emblen

I am a fully qualified BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I offer a warm and supportive approach in sessions to put you at ease and allow you time and space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I will help you to achieve a good understanding of the issue you would like to work on and support you in using the cognitive behavioural techniques most relevant to you, to achieve your goals and overcome your issue.  This approach will also provide you with a toolkit of techniques that you will be able to use again, should future difficulties arise.

My background includes 12 years experience delivering therapy in NHS Mental Health Services, beginning as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and presently as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I am also trained in providing Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

I have a particular interest in working with anxiety problems such as obsessive-compulsive disorder and social anxiety, low self-esteem, and also in working with women experiencing difficulties in the post-natal period. I am also experienced in working with a wide range of other problems including depression, generalised anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder and health anxiety.

I offer both online and face-to-face appointments. If you think you would like to work with me, whatever your difficulty might be, please get in touch.

Kimberley Stewart

I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. My career in mental health began in 2014 where I started working as a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) in the NHS. I worked with a variety of severe mental health difficulties both on acute mental health wards and working within the community.

I developed a passion for helping others learn how to help themselves and to acquire skills they can use for the rest of their lives; this is where my career in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy began. Due to my drive to continue building my skills to help my clients, I am currently training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

I understand the apprehension that may be felt when considering reaching out for help. I consider an effective therapeutic relationship to be highly important to help clients feel comfortable and allow them to get the most out of therapy. I am a warm, down to earth and non-judgemental practitioner who enjoys seeing clients improve their lives via therapy.

I have used Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help people with a range of common mental health problems. I have particular interest in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Social Phobia, Low Self Esteem, Depression, Panic Disorder and Agoraphobia, Health Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder and phobias.

I receive regular supervision and work within NICE guidance to ensure the treatment I provide is evidence based.
